Say the uncomfortable thing
If the course a student wants is a poor fit for their grades or budget, we say so in the first meeting — kindly, with alternatives, but plainly.
Our story
Three of our four founders switched degrees after a costly first year. GrowCraft exists so the next student doesn't have to learn about entry routes, real fees and unclaimed scholarships the expensive way.
Two former university admissions officers start answering course questions for free from a Damansara co-working space, mostly for the children of friends. Word spreads faster than expected.
After watching students miss awards nobody told them about, we begin systematically cataloguing every scholarship across our partner institutions — the register that now anchors our matching service.
Incorporation, a permanent office in PJ Trade Centre and formal recruitment agreements with universities in Australia, the UK, New Zealand and Ireland alongside our Malaysian network.
Fourteen counsellors, 210+ partner institutions, and more than nine thousand students placed. The service students receive costs exactly what it did in 2019: nothing.
If the course a student wants is a poor fit for their grades or budget, we say so in the first meeting — kindly, with alternatives, but plainly.
We present, compare and recommend. We never pressure, never rush a deposit, and never make a decision that belongs to the student.
Placement is the midpoint of our job, not the end. Students keep their counsellor's direct line through their first semester.
Results slips and income documents are sensitive. We collect the minimum, store it under PDPA-compliant controls and delete it on request.
Drop by the PJ office or book a video call. First sessions are free and always will be.
